Join Issam Khoury on Syria TV as he uncovers Assad-Iran dynamics amid Damascus' crises. Explore Middle Eastern realities beyond predictions.

In a recent interview with Syria TV, Issam Khoury, a fellow expert from the Czech-Slovak Institute of Oriental Studies (CSIORS) and the founder of the Center for Environmental and Social Development, offered his insights into the increasingly complex dynamics between the Assad regime and Iran. The interview, part of the program "ما الذي يبحث عنه وزير خارجية نظام الأسد في طهران؟ | سوريا اليوم" (What is the foreign minister of the Assad regime looking for in Tehran? | Syria Today), focused on the challenges faced by Damascus amidst unprecedented economic collapse and stalled political progress.

As Assad faces significant pressure and continues to lean towards Iran, Khoury illuminated what Iran could potentially offer and the intentions that Assad might be trying to communicate with this visit. Khoury's participation in the program is a testament to the commitment of CSIORS in promoting a deeper understanding of the Middle East's intricacies, as well as his personal dedication to addressing environmental and social issues.
